Your help is needed and as our motto states, we serve! Join your fellow Lions as we distribute essential food boxes to eligible families in our community.

Kent County Community Action collaborates with several partners throughout Kent County to distribute United State Department of Agriculture (USDA) food to eligible households on a quarterly basis. Our one-day distribution will include providing eligible households with a box of food from The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). Volunteers will be needed to help collect client information, pack boxes, and distribute food to the public.
We will supply masks and gloves. Teenagers 14+ are welcome to volunteer if an adult guardian goes with them. Please do not volunteer if you have been exposed to/ have COVID-19 or are experiencing symptoms such as runny nose, sore throat, cough, fever and/ or difficulty breathing.
