March 16, 2021 GR Lions Luncheon Mtg, Vonnie Woodrick

Tuesday March 16, 2021 the Grand Rapids Lions will have their luncheon meeting at the University Club with a great speaker, Vonnie Woodrick.

Vonnie Woodrick is founder of the non-profit organization – i understand, an author, podcast host, certified life coach and a social change agent who is passionate about changing the perception and conversation surrounding mental health and suicide. She founded the non-profit organization i understand, which exemplifies her determination to reduce stigma and judgment surrounding mental health/brain health illnesses.

Her book, titled i understand: love, pain and healing after suicide, has landed at number three on Amazon on the subject. The book currently is being used as a resource by the Michigan Sheriff’s Association Victim Service Unit Advocates. These advocates go into the homes of families who have just experienced the devastation of losing a loved one to suicide.
