Build a Bed Event – Volunteers Needed

Good day everyone,

There will be a bed build to support the Kellogsville Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace. The date is Saturday, June 10th at Wood Tech. (I-131 and 76th Street). It is an indoor build location that we have had builds at in the past.

Wood Tech allows us to use their space for free. They also donate about 90% of the wood that is required. They have their employees cut and plane the wood which decreases the need for a good part of the sanding.

The bed goal is 60 beds. This is 3X larger than any of their prior builds. With enough volunteers, we can make it happen.

Volunteer Workers: 9AM to 12:30(ish)

This build may be a challenge to staff as several clubs have fund raisers on that date plus all the personal stuff – golfing, weddings, graduation etc.

Given the potential challenge to staff, we will need to harness the power of Lions through out the district and recruit our friends, families, co-workers and even prayer groups.
