Eyeglass Recycling / Eyeglass Missions
EYEGLASS RECYCLING CENTER:
Grand Rapids Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center operations have been limited.
With the rising number of positive cases of Covid -19 in West Michigan, the risk of virus exposure by working as a group in our warehouse is too great. A skeleton crew of GR Lions continue to work in isolated conditions to maintain inventory control until we can safely resume normal operations.
Eyeglass donations are still encouraged. Donations can be dropped off at our new facility at 4060 29th ST SE in the rear of the Studio 616 – Dave Burgess Photography building. We have set up a shed in the rear so you can drop off your donated eyeglasses at any time or day. Striving for contact free donations.
An announcement will be made in the future regarding reopening the activity.
If you have questions feel free to contact:

Thank you for your interest in supporting this project.
The Eyeglass Recycling Center, 4060 29th Street, SE, Kentwood MI 49512 is where gently-used eyeglasses are sorted, cleaned, measured, and packed for our club’s yearly Mission Vision Clinics.
Each year, upwards of 25,000 pairs of used eyeglasses are processed for use during our visits to rural communities in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Grand Rapids Lions receive assistance in this ongoing recycling effort from other area clubs and volunteer groups across West Michigan.
If you have eyeglasses you would like to drop off, there is a storage shed behind the building that is big enough to hold a car full of eyeglasses. The eyeglasses can be left there. If you have more than a car full, truck size, please make arrangements ahead of time with Lion Scott Brady.
Any questions or concerns, please email Lion Scott Brady: email@example.com
