SUMMARY:Did You RSVP? Luncheon Meeting-Ryan Leetsma & Adelaide Pointe
DESCRIPTION:Tomorrow\, we have only 10 Lions rsvp’d for our speaker \nJoe Annoreno\, Anne Baird\, Ben Eavey\, Randall Hamstra\, Jamie Junod\, Tom Murphy\, Brent Spoelstra\, Kyle Travis and Drew Wessell. \n  \nI can add a few more. \nCheryl \n  \nSpeakers will be Ryan Leetsma and Aubrey Glick from the Adelaide Pointe project on Muskegon Lake.  Their goal was to convert a 30-acre eyesore (former WW2-era tank factory\, later a sand casting foundry) into a  beautiful multi-use\, active recreational community on the south shore of Muskegon Lake.    In addition\, condos\, apartments\, hotel\, restaurant\, boat sheds and storage and a full amenity marina. This will be the first marina authorized in Michigan in over 30 years. \nAdelaidepointe.com/history \nAdelaide’s development plan focuses on the scene\, setting and recreational opportunities of Muskegon Lake and the West Michigan lakeshore.  Residences\, public parks\, slips\, dining and events come together in a thoughtful and deliberate way to create an effortless focus on sustainability\, design and recreation.  Paired with first-class residences\, accommodations and amenities\, a sense of well-being for all members of the community integrates Muskegon’s past\, present and exciting future. \nLions Luncheon Meeting \n12:15 for lunch with a speaker \nUniversity Club \nContact Cheryl Anderson if you would like to join us \nandersoc@gvsu.edu

SUMMARY:Build a Bed Event - Volunteers Needed
DESCRIPTION:Good day everyone\,\n\nThere will be a bed build to support the Kellogsville Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace. The date is Saturday\, June 10th at Wood Tech. (I-131 and 76th Street). It is an indoor build location that we have had builds at in the past.\n\nWood Tech allows us to use their space for free. They also donate about 90% of the wood that is required. They have their employees cut and plane the wood which decreases the need for a good part of the sanding.\n\nThe bed goal is 60 beds. This is 3X larger than any of their prior builds. With enough volunteers\, we can make it happen.\n\nVolunteer Workers: 9AM to 12:30(ish)\n\nThis build may be a challenge to staff as several clubs have fund raisers on that date plus all the personal stuff – golfing\, weddings\, graduation etc.\n\nGiven the potential challenge to staff\, we will need to harness the power of Lions through out the district and recruit our friends\, families\, co-workers and even prayer groups.\n\nPlease contact Brent Spoelstra if you would like to participate in this final build of the season.\n\nBrent\n616-383-0260\nBespoelstra@yahoo.com
