He is the award-winning author of two books on Forensic Linguistics\, “Getting the Truth” (2014) and 2019 “Getting the Truth: I am D.B. Cooper.” He investigated/supervised investigations into homicides\, organized crime\, financial crimes\, narcotics and public corruption. He was the lead investigator into the disappearance of Jimmy R. Hoffa. \nJoe is Past President of the Michigan FBI National Academy Associates\, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)\, holds a BS in Accounting from Wayne State University and an MPA from Eastern Michigan University\, where he received Phi Kappa Phi Honors. He now owns and operates KMI Investigations in Michigan\, specializing in financial fraud investigations and Forensic Linguistics.

DESCRIPTION:Presentation:  Scott Brady-The future of Eyeglass Recycling \nGR Lions have sponsored the eyeglass recycling center (2008) for 16 years from the Muskegon Northside Lions Club.  While we have managed the center\, there have been 18 mission trips (Muskegon 12 totaling 40)  GR Lions have done 30\,981 exams\,  referred 2750 patients out.  We have been in Brent Spoelstra’s garage\, then to Jim Kaiser’s building\, then we thought we had a forever spot behind 616 Photography.  We shipped everything over and COVID hit.  Shut us down. We just started to get it going.  However\, we are getting old and our members are tired of working at the center so we are looking for another club to take it over.  Then the 616 building got sold. We have to be out!  Rockford will handle all the eyeglass recycling but Gary Anderson will still be handling the mission trips. \n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Tomorrow\, we have only 10 Lions rsvp’d for our speaker \nJoe Annoreno\, Anne Baird\, Ben Eavey\, Randall Hamstra\, Jamie Junod\, Tom Murphy\, Brent Spoelstra\, Kyle Travis and Drew Wessell. \n  \nI can add a few more. \nCheryl \n  \nSpeakers will be Ryan Leetsma and Aubrey Glick from the Adelaide Pointe project on Muskegon Lake.  Their goal was to convert a 30-acre eyesore (former WW2-era tank factory\, later a sand casting foundry) into a  beautiful multi-use\, active recreational community on the south shore of Muskegon Lake.    In addition\, condos\, apartments\, hotel\, restaurant\, boat sheds and storage and a full amenity marina.
