The Grand Rapids Lions Club donates $95 per child (up up $4750 for 50 children) to set a budget of $125 per gift card for children to spend on their family members. \n“Pass the Hat” donations through through collections at Lions luncheons assist in supplementing the cost of having additional children participate. DESCRIPTION:Sleep in Heavenly Peace is conducting a “Build” on Saturday\, October 14 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at\nWood Tech \n670 76th St Byron Center.\n\nIt’s a great hands on project where the goal is to prepare the parts to fabricate 60 single beds…in four hours! It’s been done! It involves sanding and drilling with power tools provided by the SHPorganization. No special skills are required.\nPlease contact me if you can participate. SUMMARY:Build a Bed Event - Volunteers Needed
DESCRIPTION:Good day everyone\,\n\nThere will be a bed build to support the Kellogsville Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace. The date is Saturday\, June 10th at Wood Tech. (I-131 and 76th Street). It is an indoor build location that we have had builds at in the past.\n\nWood Tech allows us to use their space for free. They also donate about 90% of the wood that is required. They have their employees cut and plane the wood which decreases the need for a good part of the sanding.\n\nThe bed goal is 60 beds. This is 3X larger than any of their prior builds. With enough volunteers\, we can make it happen.\n\nVolunteer Workers: 9AM to 12:30(ish)\n\nThis build may be a challenge to staff as several clubs have fund raisers on that date plus all the personal stuff – golfing\, weddings\, graduation etc.\n\nGiven the potential challenge to staff\, we will need to harness the power of Lions through out the district and recruit our friends\, families\, co-workers and even prayer groups.\n\nPlease contact Brent Spoelstra if you would like to participate in this final build of the season.\n\nBrent\n616-383-0260\nBespoelstra@yahoo.com

SUMMARY:Build a Bed!!
DESCRIPTION:Our Grand Rapids Lions Club has committed to helping this cause.\nAs such\, we are looking for volunteers who are willing to donate several of their weekend hours to construct these beds. All tools are provided. The work is done in an assembly line fashion\, so attention to the task is required\, lest the process falters. Our first opportunity to help will be on Saturday\, April 15 from 9:00 am to noon. The indoor site is in the greater GR area. The coordinators are looking for 35-40 volunteers from our Lion District.  This is a good opportunity to invite your friends and family (adults) to our club activities.
