Drive For Vision 6/18

Jun 18th 2018

11:30am

Most Americans report that, of all disabilities, loss of eyesight would have the greatest impact on their daily life. After all, 80 percent of the sensory information the brain receives comes from our eyes. You can help individuals who are challenged by vision loss.

We are excited to invite you to participate in the 30th Annual Grand Rapids Ophthalmology Drive for Vision Charity Golf Outing.

The outing is on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Quail Ridge Golf Club; Lunch & Registration 11:30 am; Shotgun Start 1:00 pm; Dinner & Prizes to Follow.

Proceeds will provide needed vision care in our community by supporting the work of the Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired and Grand Rapids Lions Club Vision Clinic at Cherry Health.

Each year, the Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired helps over 1,000 family members, friends, and neighbors, who live with blindness or severe vision loss, live more independently. Annually, the Grand Rapids Lions Club Vision Clinic at Cherry Health provides eye care and glasses to over 10,000 fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters helping reduce preventable blindness.

We are grateful for the success of Drive for Vision over the years. Generous support has aided many thousands of people in our community challenged by vision loss. And yet, the need keeps growing. To assist increasing numbers of individuals who have unmet vision needs, we need your help.

Think about the activities that you do each day and imagine doing them with limited or no vision. How would you read the words on this page?

With your participation, challenges caused by vision loss can be addressed. Great ways to be involved are described on the next page. Your participation will help many people in our community whose lives are improved by the services of the Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired and the Grand Rapids Lions Club Vision Clinic at Cherry Health.

Thank you for your Involvement and generosity!
